Lou Kim is a multidisciplinary artist and researcher based in the Hague, Netherlands. Her practice mainly manifests in light, sound, and installations that change over time. For the past few years, her artistic research has evolved around the connection between creation and destruction—how every story, whether individual or societal, begins with a single point of creation but inevitably encounters moments of collapses and transformation. In order to establish the stages and structures of destruction that occur in complex life and society, it emphasizes the point that we enter the story, and this approach leads her to the consideration of destruction. Based on research, she creates collisions in multiple scenes, the conflict between sounds, the collisions within machines, and the clash of visual and auditory images to its explosive elements.
